Late winter has a way of feeling like the longest stretch of the season. The holiday glow has long faded away; spring isn’t quite here yet, so it feels like a giant rumor, and the brisk air keeps us moving with purpose (or to get inside as quickly as we can!).<\/p>\n
So, we decided — why not have a little fun with it?<\/p>\n
Inspired by the spirit of the Winter Olympics happening right now in Milan Cortina, we’re launching our very own (unofficial but highly competitive) Mill Creek Winter Games.<\/p>\n
We made up some fun ‘games’ and you know us, it’s a little tongue in cheek, of course!<\/p>\n
Event #1: The Parking Lot Dash<\/strong><\/p>\n Timing your steps between chilly gusts and making it indoors like a champ!<\/p>\n Event #2: The Grocery Carry Biathlon<\/strong><\/p>\n One trip from car to kitchen-even if it kills you and your arms fall off…. We know you have that strategy, strength, and determination!<\/p>\n Event #3: The Package Pick-Up Power Lift<\/strong><\/p>\n Balancing boxes, mail, and keys with precision and poise. Nothing falls; you have the balance of a pro!<\/p>\n Event #4: The Evening Elegance Figure Skate<\/strong><\/p>\n A graceful winter stroll through the community — steady, confident, and completely composed. Think smooth movement, warm layers still (even with the promise of spring right around the corner..), and main-character energy as you glide into your evening routine. Because let’s face it, you are the main character in your own story!<\/p>\n While we may not be competing on a world stage, there’s something special about how our community shows up during the quieter months, neighbors helping neighbors, friendly waves in the crisp air, and cozy lights glowing against early sunsets from balconies.<\/p>\n Spring is definitely on the horizon, and we are all ready for it, no doubt.
